Who Killed Tupac Shakur?
Who cares?
Wow, I have actually received some hate mail about this page. Here it is (my comments in italics):
From: eliesa grey
[...] your little Tupac Shakur joke is pretty stupid.
Thanks for your snap judgment of my intelligence.
Considering that in his short career he sold over 100 million records which is substantially more than probably any musician you may be a fan of,
Hmm... well, first off, if Wikipedia is correct, he "only" sold 76 million records:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupac_Shakur
-----this number may be incorrect; the article has a LOWER number now!
According to the RIAA, there are either 6 or 4 artists that have sold more than Tupac, 2 of which are still recording:
http://www.riaa.com/gp/bestsellers/topartists.asp (link no longer works... oh well)
As it happens, I like 2 of those top 6, and can tolerate the others. Not true for Tupac.
Finally, I prefer bands that can make good MUSIC, regardless of record sales. Rap is not music, at least to me.
I'd have to say there are literally hundreds of thousands of people who care who killed him & what's more why no one has been brought to justice for a murder that took place on the Las Vegas strip, in front of literally hundreds of witnesses.
Sure, several thousand people care about Tupac's death, in the same way that thousands care about Elvis' death.
Imagine if Mark David Chapman, John Lennon's killer had never been caught.
Then Lennon would still be dead, wouldn't he?
What would public response be to that? Perhaps you should change the answer to your question to "I don't care".
While accurate, not what I want it to say.
Which would obviously be alot more accurate, because you honestly sound really ignorant.
Thanks for another snap judgment of me.
Have fun writing your little Dungeons & Dragons stories, cause we all Really care about that.
You must, else you wouldn't have followed enough links to find out that bit of info, right? Anyway, I write about more than just D&D; take another look.
Now, having said that, was it really worth your time to write all of this? Nothing you've written here is going to change anything I have up, unless you can present a more compelling argument, and based on what I've seen, you're probably not a member of my target audience.
One final bit of irony: If you search for "eliesa grey" (which is how she spelled it in her email) with the quotes, you will find that the only result for that name is this very page. Well, Eliesa, you have your 15 minutes of fame on an unknown, semi-functional, rarely-visited page (just 350 hits total, according to my counter). What will you do with your "fame"?
